About Me!

About Me!

Hello folks!   I’m Sam!

SAMaranatha

Welcome to my blog!   I was raised in central Florida on one of the last dairy farms in my county.   We drank raw milk and lived to tell about it!   Needless to say, I love the outdoors, gardening, and finding ways to live life more abundantly in every area and role in my life.

First, start with a solid foundation… Jesus leads the way to an abundant life

A life dedicated to Yeshua (the true Hebrew name for Jesus!), is foundational for living abundantly.   It is this truth that sets us free from the bondages of living in a fallen world.

John 10:9-10    9 I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

It all started in the garden

Adam and Eve in the garden.  You’ve probably heard that story a time or two!   Living in the garden was the original epitome of abundant living!   There was no sin, no bondage, no worry.   One day we’ll get back to that kind of perfect abundance, but for now, we’ll practice our faith by walking each day in the abundance of His truth!  AND, I love gardening!  You’ll see a good number of posts on this subject from me!

 What abundance is NOT

My blog is all about abundance, but what is it?  More importantly, what ISN’T it?  Many think of abundance as having lots of “stuff”.  I don’t think of it that way at all.   You will need some things to live a full life, but it’s not really about the things.   It’s about what you DO with what you have.  I am not a big collector.  I like to keep things I actually use, things that have purpose. Part of the purpose of this blog is to create a place for the exchange of ideas, and give you a peek into my life, and my walk with Christ.

Exchange of ideas

I want to share some of the things about life that I love.  For example, I love finding ways to improve my health.   I will soon share a YouTube video I produced about making an all natural Turmeric “Flu Shot”.  This is my go-to remedy when I feel a sickness creeping in, or I come into close contact with a sick friend or family member.   I also love sharing my faith.  It’s all about relationship.  There isn’t a single thing we do that Jesus doesn’t want to be a part of.  He wants to walk along side of you.  He will be walking along side of me in the blog!

What’s important to me

Part of living abundantly is being here for my three children.  The father of my two youngest children died suddenly in a motorcycle accident in October of 2017.  This was a defining moment for me and our children.  It became so important for us to stay close together, and encourage one another.  As of now, it’s been only four months since it happened, and while we are still very sad for the loss, we at least have the comfort of knowing that Shane is with Jesus.  What a berakah (blessing in Hebrew)!!  Part of this blog will be honoring his memory.

Love your feedback!

I want to hear what you think about what I share.  Perhaps you know of something that would add to my repertoire?  Maybe you have a blog request?  Or a question?   Or maybe you want to leave feedback about how something impacted you?  I welcome that!

And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. -Matt. 10:42

      Good Sunday morning Shelly,

You are officially my first comment! Thank you for leaving me this feedback, it is truly appreciated. I am really enjoying my new connection to the watchman community. My hope is that, in sharing some of my trials, that others can be encouraged. It really is possible, through Christ, to keep joy through our trials. This past year has been a witness to that. I plan to continue sharing, as the Spirit leads, through my videos and blog posts! Thanks again sister! May you be blessed in Yeshua’s name! 🙂
